Published in Paperback by Coaches Choice (May, 2000)
Authors: Ted Kempski and Harold R. Raymond
Average review score:

A good resource
I found this book is a great resource for new wing-t coaches. The drills are explained very well and can be easily implemented. There are many drills which are not specific to the wing-t but many that are.

101 Delaware Wing-T Plays
Published in Paperback by Coaches Choice (May, 2000)
Authors: Harold R. Raymond and Ted Kempski
Average review score:

Overall, a pretty good book
The book was decent, but I was a little disappointed with how a play, to the right and left side, counts as 2 plays out of the 101. Some good ideas, but it doesn't seem like 101 different plays, because it is not. Terminology is too vague and confusing, and the play names don't seem to give enough info. I would like to discuss it with fellow football fans. Evan Scharf RScharf106@aol.com

African American Education in Delaware: A History through Photographs, 1865-1930
Published in Paperback by Delaware Heritage Pr (26 February, 1999)
Authors: Bradley Skelcher and Bradley Skelher
Average review score:

Delaware African American Education
I bought this book from the author while touring Delaware. When I finally relaxed and looked at the book I was pleasantly surprised to find a comprehensive history of the education of blacks in Delaware. The pictures are a real treat, but hardly the core of the work.

It brought back memories of times, thankfully, long gone. It was a time that all Americans can remember with pride. A time when we did more with less. The pictures of the schools and students are very inspiring and tell a story all there own.

This is a good resource for anyone doing research in education.

wonderful for planning that quick getaway
Incredibly handy for those times when you decide on Saturday that you want to do "something different" this weekend, but have not a clue what are your options. Divided into activities appropriate for each season, the book suggests a wide range of trips around the area, from historic exploring to art appreciation to communing with nature. I had an old version of this book that I lent out and lost, and I loved it so much I'm buying another copy!

Bridge Line Blues: Delaware and Hudson, 1976-1986
Published in Hardcover by Interurban Pr (June, 1989)
Author: Hal Reiser
Average review score:

Essential read for D&H enthusiast
This book is excellent research material for anyone researching the Delaware & Hudson railway. This book gives a very good account of the history of the D&H between the years of 1976 and 1986 and its ensuing demise. The book contains excellent colour photos of both railway equipment and nearby buildings and is very useful for modelling purposes. I would recommend it to anyone.

The Delaware Colony (Thirteen Colonies)
Published in School & Library Binding by Children's Book Press (September, 1992)
Author: Dennis Brindell Fradin
Average review score:

Well written account of the Colony
Like all of Fradin's books, this one is well written, informative, and interesting. My children both enjoyed listening to this as we studied colonial times, and liked the well chosen black and white illustrations. We especially enjoy the quotes from writings of the period at the start of each chapter, as they give a flavor for how real people of the time viewed things. We have read other accounts of Henry Hudson which seemed to include more information about his earlier life than the biographical sketch in this book, while Fradin states that little is known, but it is difficult to know for certain who is giving the correct information, as conjecture often gets labeled as fact in history books. The section on Hudson is only a one-page excerpt from the book anyway. We greatly appreciate the way this author makes information understandable to children through wise use of vocabulary, but never 'talks down' to them, and includes enough complex terminology to stretch their comprehension of history.

Delaware, Maryland & the District of Columbia Atlas of Historical County Boundaries (Serial)
Published in Hardcover by Charles Scribners Sons/Reference (September, 1996)
Authors: John H. Long, William, Dr. Center for Family and Community History Scholl, and Charles Scribners Publishing

Alabama : Atlas of Historical County Boundaries
If you're interested in this sort of thing as I am this book could be of great value however the price is unreal. I have a CD that does much the same for the entire country at a third the price of one state however this book is MUCH more accurate and shows county boundaries that only occured for as little as three days. The CD is also easier to use. That said I'll likely ask for the book as one of those Christmas presents I wouldn't buy for myself.

Fishing the Delaware Valley

Average review score:

A Must for Fishing Delaware Valley
This is one of the best location guides for fishing I have ever read. They list the Tackle shop and resturants for the fisherman, plus things for the rest of the family to do, to make a fishers trip a family vacation. If you are going to fish the Delaware valley this book is a must.
